Wrinkle Relaxing Injections..

Wrinkle Relaxing Injections have fast become the number 1 non-surgical aesthetic treatment available

Anti-wrinkle Injection treatments are used to smooth facial lines and wrinkles, traditionally used to treat the upper part of the face, Forehead Lines, Crow’s feet and Frown lines. More advanced treatments are available and can also be teamed with other treatments to achieve maximum results…

How does the treatment work?

Our muscles in the face naturally contract and relax causing our facial expressions to change, the brain sends a signal to the nerve endings that we want to frown or laugh. When we inject into the specific facial muscle, these signals are blocked and so the nerve endings can’t tell the muscles to move..

Over time most patients will notice the lines/wrinkles around the treated area’s will become less pronounced, new skin has a chance to grow without being repeatedly creased.

What areas can be treated?

The main areas treated when using wrinkle relaxing products are forehead lines, frown lines (in between the eyebrows) and crow’s feet. Some areas of the lower face may be injected including corners of the mouth (marionette lines), upper lip (smoker’s lines) and lines around the nose.

What can cause wrinkles?

There are a number of things than can cause wrinkles, over exposure from the sun, smoking, environmental issues and the natural ageing process all take their toll on your skin. As we get older our faces start to develop fine lines and wrinkles, as the collagen and elastin fibres start to break down, this causes the skin to lose its elasticity and smoothness.

Does the treatment hurt?

A series of small injections are used to complete the treatment, most clients have no problems during the treatment however please advise your aesthetic practitioner if you have any concerns prior to treatment.

How long will the treatment take?

Treatment times will vary per client however you can expect to be with your aesthetic consultant for around 30 minutes.

Is there any downtime after treatment?

The nice thing with this treatment is you can carry on your day as normal, there are a few aftercare points you need to follow, other than a little bit of redness in the injection area you won’t have any visible signs of having anything done.

Are there any side effects from the treatment?

As with any treatment there may be a number of minimal side effects from the treatment, your aesthetic practitioner will cover all this information with you at the time of your consultation. If you have any specific concerns please make sure you address these on the day or prior to your appointment.

Can anyone have this treatment?

A full medical consultation will be completed prior to treatment by the nurse prescriber, pregnant or breastfeeding clients will need to wait until after to have wrinkle relaxing treatments. If you are unsure of anything please call to discuss.

How quickly will I see results?

Clients will start to see results from around 7 days after treatment, with the full effect being present at 14 days after treatment.

How much will it cost?

Clients will look to pay from £220 for three areas, this may be slightly higher for male clients, full details will be given at the time of consultation.

Do I need to follow aftercare?

Yes, you will be given full aftercare advice on the day of treatment, this must be followed so as not to lessen the effects of treatment. There is a 4 hour rule after treatment, this is the most important part to follow……

Do not lay down, do not rub or massage the treated area, avoid strenuous exercise, avoid applying anything to the area, avoid alcohol and spicy foods. A full list will be given on the day of your treatment.

How often will I need to have this done?

All clients are different, normally around 3 months most will require another treatment, this time frame may be longer or shorter depending on each client.
